(Reuters) - Motorola Solutions Inc is exploring the sale of its underperforming wireless LAN business, which has grappled with declining share in a market dominated by rivals such as Cisco Systems Inc, people familiar with the matter said.

Google working on "X Phone", "X" tablet to take on rivals - WSJ

(Reuters) - Google Inc is working with recently acquired Motorola on a handset codenamed "X-phone", aimed at grabbing market share from Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, the Wall Street Journal said, citing people familiar with the matter.

Google sells Motorola TV set-top business for $2.35 billion

(Reuters) - Google Inc agreed to sell set-top TV box maker Motorola Home to Arris Group Inc for $2.35 billion in cash and stock, the companies said on Wednesday.

Google may avoid FTC ruling by issuing voluntary changes

Following a year-and-a-half long anti-trust investigation, the Wall Street Journal reports that Google is expected to escape a final determination by the Federal Trade Commission thanks to the enactment of a number of "voluntary" measures -- a consent decree which the FTC believes will address original anti-trust concerns.

(Reuters) - Microsoft Corp and Google Inc's Motorola Mobility unit have requested a federal judge in Seattle to keep secret from the public various details from their recent trial concerning the value of technology patents and the two companies' attempts at a settlement.
